CLEAR is not rubberized

i like this cover, it fits well, snug, strong and doesn't add much weight or thickness to my MBP. i ordered CLEAR becuase i didnt want it to draw much attention but what i expected is not what arrived. i am referring to "Smooth yet grippy rubberized exterior texture." which i know applies to the BLACK version but not this one. given i had never seen it, (i have seen and felt the black version), i had to ref the despcription. its hard to tell in the pictures but i was expecting a clear or semi-white 'fog' cover, this item, the clear, is CRYSTAL CLEAR and SMOOTH which makes it slightly slippery. that aside, it still looks good and is not obtrusive. i do recommend it but note that the CLEAR version is not rubberized

Awesome product. This case which prices $50 plus @ the Apple Store is the same exact item. I was a little hesitant to purchase this item because of the mixed reviews. The product was shipped beautifully in original packaging. The shipper shipped out the product the same day I ordered it , actually within hours. I received this product on a Monday after ordering on Saturday afternoon. I only have positive things to say. This was easy out of the package and snapped on my Mac right away. Fit is perfect, no slippage no misalignment it fits perfectly! I would definitely order from this seller again in the future. If you have any doubts, put them at rest. The colour raspberry in which I ordered is exactly that. It looks amazing on the Mac .You can see the APPLE logo glow through the case and it looks fabulous. I am so happy finally to make the decision to order the case to protect my Mac investment! Happy Shopping!

Very Happy with the product !!

The cover was exactly the way described. Fits perfectly in my mac pro 15". I was bit worried if it will make the laptop heavy or bulky but it still looks slim and just the same weight. The only hesitation i felt was that my mac is getting more heated that before. But I would prefer a little extra heat than having scratches or fear of dropping and breaking it. I recommend it to every Mac lover !!

THIS CASE IS NOT FOR THE NEWEST 13" MACBOOK BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU THAT WHEN YOU BUY ITI purchased this case because it says it will fit a 13" MacBook Aluminum/Unibody - which I recently bought - but what this listing does not tell you is that although the case snaps on, it OBSTRUCTS access to the kensington lock and makes it impossible to plug in your power supply or headphones completely.When I contacted the company for a return and refund they were EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and though they refunded the purchase price, I had to pay for return shipping and they wouldn't refund my original shipping cost - I lost out on $16 because they made a marketing error (The Speck website offers a disclaimer that this item will not fit, they don't even make a case for 13" Aluminum/Unibodies purchased after 6/8/09!!!!) I also had to argue with them over a 15% restocking fee! I didn't change my mind on this product, I was sold a product mislabeled as appropriate for my computer.THIS COMPANY IS SELLING A PRODUCT THAT THEY KNOW WILL NOT FIT AND WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE!! BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY FROM DATAVSION!

Good Product

This is for the new aluminum Macbook. The product fits securely and seems to be well constructed. It does add a bit of weight. Also worth mentioning, a "Speck" logo is now located on the top portion of the case--probably about an 1.5" wide, and clear. This logo was not present on the previous Macbook pro case. I was a little disappointed to see it there and prefer to have the cleaner look of just the Apple logo.Good product overall though.

An all-around great case, but a little difficult to install.

I have been using Speck products for several years now on my iPod, iPad, Macbook, etc. and they have always been very reliable, and stylish. I have had my Macbook Pro 15" (Retina), since the day it came out in June 2012, and while I am very careful with it, I inevitably found a very small scratch on the bottom of the computer. Immediately, realizing that not having a case was very foolish, I purchased a Speck SeeThru Satin case. This case is not bulky, and it snaps onto the computer with a perfect fit. The color is beautiful, and I love how it contrasts with the aluminum body. The way the Apple logo shines through the blue case, is really cool. Although it is more expensive than other MacBook cases on Amazon, it is the best, and worth the extra $10-$15, because it won't damage your laptop (it was at least $2199, so why not spend $35 on a case to keep it perfect?)Pros:-High Quality-Reliable-Does not add excess bulk/weight-Very beautiful colors-Soft touch plastic-Easy access to all ports-Still fits in bags/cases you already own for the 15" Macbook Pro (Retina)Cons:- it was a little difficult to put the top half of the case on the screen. The screen on this MacBook is very fragile so BE CAREFUL!Speck Products I have used:- Pixel Skin HD (iPhone 4S), Pixel Skin HD + stand (iPad 2), SeeThru (2009 13" MacBook Pro), SeeThru Satin (2012 15" Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display), Card Holder Case (iPhone 4S). All of these cases have been extremely reliable, and have kept my items looking great!(Side note: It is also a good idea to get one of those soft keyboard covers for your MacBook, to keep it looking brand new!)

Would buy one as long as I own a mac.

This is my fourth mac laptop, and my fifth Speck Case! I swear by them. With my last laptop, it was accidentally dropped down a half story in my house when I slipped on the stairs! The laptop survived with no damage, no scratches, and the only thing wrong was a corner of the speck case was shattered. it did it's job and I credit it to saving the laptop!The only issue I ever had was a little hand sanitizer leaked on one of the cases (#3) and it did ruin a small spot the satin finish. Otherwise I've never had a issue with any of these.
